None of this is essential — you can make great progress with zero gear — but having the right stuff around helps me stay consistent, especially on the days when motivation’s low.
1. Gymshark Everyday Shorts
I’ve gone through a lot of gym shorts over the years — most of them either too tight, too long, or they lose shape after a few washes. These have been solid. They’re light, stretch well, and don’t get in the way when I’m training legs. Plus, they actually fit like normal shorts, not the parachute-sized ones you see everywhere. I wear them almost every session now without even thinking about it.

2. Bare Grip Lifting Shoes
For years, I trained in random sneakers. I thought lifting shoes were overrated — until I actually tried them.
The difference is crazy. You feel way more stable during squats and deadlifts. No heel slip, no soft soles, no wasted energy. I didn’t realize how much that mattered until I switched. Now, even on days I’m tired, the shoes sort of signal, “okay, time to work.” It’s small, but it helps me lock in.

3. Transparent Labs Creatine
Not exciting, I know — but it’s the only supplement I consistently take. I just throw 5g into my post-workout shake every day. Nothing fancy, just basic creatine monohydrate. It helps with strength and recovery, and the science behind it actually checks out. No marketing hype needed.
